Irving's chapter of the Association of Texas Professional Educatos presented Educator of the Year Awards at its February meeting at the Academy.The winners are as follows: Administrator of the Year is Patty Notgrass, principal at Lively Elementary; Elementary Educator of the Year is Jeri Johnson, a first grade teacher at Lively Elementary; Secondary Educator of the Year is Phillip Hubbard, algebra teacher at the Academy of Irving ISD; and Support Educator of the Year is Meliza Villareal, a counselor at the Academy of Irving ISD.

Ms. Notgrass, Mr. Hubbard and Ms. Villareal are Region X winners as well and will be honored at the Region X Convention Awards luncheon Feb. 16 in Mesquite.
