0 Ratings / 0 Comments

The Plano Symphony Orchestra invites kids, ages preschool - 6 years, and their parents to a spirited, musical storytime that's free and open to the public.

All storytimes are drop in with no preregistration required and will be presented at the following Barnes and Nobles bookstores:

  • March 4th & 5th, 10:30 am - Firewheel Barnes & Nobles at 190 Cedar Sage Road, Garland, TX 75040. (972) 496-2000
  • March 25th, 10am & 11am - Stonebriar Center Barnes & Nobles at 2601 Preston Road, Suite 1204, Frisco, TX, 75034. (972) 668-2820
Both educational and fun, this 20-minute program includes a discussion of stringed instruments, a short performance of Bach and two interactive stories with viola. There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly and We're Going on a Bear Hunt are stories that encourage children to get involved and participate.  Feel free to bring along grandparents and other family members to share the fun.

"I've been performing this storytime now for several years at Barnes and Nobles with great success," comments April Kondrat, PSOs Director of Education and lead violist with the orchestra.  "And, I can't wait to get the kids involved again this year. It's not only fun ... it's a learning experience that can really make an impact."
