ABC News' Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos are in town to cover the Texas primary. They will be broadcasting World News Tonight from the WFAA-TV studio downtown, which is right across the street from us.
Emily Goldstein, our assistant editor in Collin County, had the idea to shoot a "behind the scenes" look at what goes into covering an election. We asked our WFAA-TV friends, and they said, "Sure, come on over."
Emily and Jennifer Carpenter, our assistant editor for the downtown team, are currently over there, shooting a video that will be posted on neighborsgo.com at a later date.
I said "hello" to Mr. Stephanopoulos and took this really bad photo of Mr. Gibson. (Brett Shipp took one with his cellphone, too.) We were told politely to stay away from the room where the World News producers were confabbing.
Click on the photos to see which Ch. 8 anchors we talked to and whose video blog I interrupted.
