 First United Methodist Irving located @ 211 W. Third in DOWNTOWN Area has the following happening.  Hope you can come & join us.

 Wednesday, March 12— we would like to invite Parents & their preschoolers to come 11A-12Noon for  FREE Pre-School Playdate for children 18 months thru 5 yrs old (not in Kindergarten yet). A parent or other adult must stay with child(ren) during event. We meet in the EastEducationBuilding on 2nd Floor in room # 221.  Come in the door by the Church Office.  This EVENT WILL CANCEL if IISD closes due to bad weather.

 

Wednesday, March 12—we  would like to INVITE ALL @ 12 noon to the LAST Lenten Lunch for 2008.  We will be bringing back Rev. Ed Blythe with special music by Ken Surley (organist) & Ralph Wilson (soloist) in the Sanctuary then @ 12:30p join us for a light lunch in the Fellowship Hall provided by one of our ADULT Sunday School Classes.  There is a nursery provided for children 5 yrs & younger.

 

Friday, March 14th @ 10a in the FamilyLifeCenter, we would like to invite anyone in their “Golden Years” for Golden Age Fellowship.  Golden Age Fellowship is a community outreach program designed to furnish Christian fellowship from 9a until 12:30/1p.  Games are played with the only requirement is you furnish your table of players.  A meal is served @ the price of $2. So come join others in their Golden Years for food, fun & fellowship. 

 

Sunday, March 16th—we would like to invite all to their Palm Sunday service @ 10:30a.  Following the service the church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt @ Heritage Park.  All are welcome to come & watch this FREE event of the 2 egg hunts.  1st Egg Hunt will be for walking toddlers & pre-school age then the other hunt will be for Elementary Age.  Then that night @ 6:30p in the Chapel—First Methodist welcomes Shlomi Abramov as he presents “Jews for Jesus, Christ in the Passover”. Come & hear this experience of this ancient feast through this presentation.
