On Monday March 3, 2008 Good Shepherd Catholic School celebrated in true Seuss style. Last year a million teachers, parents and community leaders put on their "Cat in the Hat" hats and shared stories with 20 million children. This year was no different. Mrs. Stoffels's Second grade class ate green eggs and ham. They said they were delicious! Mrs. Steblow's Third graders made Seuss hat's and obleck. While Mrs. Pigg's Fourth graders read to Mrs. Harrill and Ms. Lewis's Kindergarten class. Guest readers read their favorite Seuss books to the classes and at 1:04pm some read "Cat in the Hat" to celebrate the 104 birthday. It has been 51 years since the publication of this book! At the end of the day everyone knew READING IS IMPORTANT and signed a contract pledging to read 30 minutes that night!
