Southern legend will celebrate Rockwall
The Southern rock legend Marshall Tucker Band will be the headline act for the City of Rockwall’s 5th Annual Founder’s Day Festival on Saturday, May 31.“Heard it in a Love Song” (#14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977), “Can’t You See,” “Fire on the Mountain” and “This Ol’ Cowboy” are just some of their great songs the band will perform beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the heart of the City, the downtown square.Best known as a Southern rock band, these good old boys from Spartanburg, South Carolina play everything from country to blues and all in-between. They still play up to 150 shows a year, and they released their latest album, “The Next Adventure,” in 2007.For everybody’s listening pleasure, a full lineup of musical entertainment will rock you through the day beginning at 10 a.m. The list of entertainers includes Angie Stevens, George Draghici, Jeanne Lay & Fat Tuesday and Voodoo Blue. So mark your calendars for May 31 and come help celebrate the City of Rockwall.
