The Exchange Club Of Lake Highlands will hold its 18th annual charity dinner/auction/casino party on March 29, 2008 at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas. The event is the Exchange Club’s primary fundraising event for the year. The goal for this year is to raise $100,000 for service projects benefiting the Lake Highlands community and for high school scholarships. Approximately 500 people are expected to attend this event.
The Exchange Club is a 501(c)(3)non-profit service organization providing a wide array of services to the youth and community. The club’s activities are extensive, including $114,000 last year in academic and vocational scholarships for LHHS graduates; funding for The Dallas Child Abuse Prevention Center; recognition of outstanding students; welcome home recognitions for our military; police and fire department awards; awards to teachers; and funding the new spray park at the Lake Highlands Recreation Center.
