0 Ratings / 0 Comments

The Richardson Symphony League will present its 2008 Debutantes and Honor Guard on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at its annual black-tie Presentation Ball.   The Ball has grown to become the largest of several fundraising events and proceeds sponsor guest artists, support youth concerts and fund other needs of the Richardson Symphony.

The Ball will begin at 6 p.m. with a champagne reception at the Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel.  Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Todd Carruth of Fox4 who will introduce the Debutantes and Honor Guards.  Dinner and Dancing will follow with music by the Mike Drake Band.  The evening will also include a Live and Silent Auction, Casino games, and prize drawings that include a Circle of Life Diamond Pendant valued at $3,900, a Black Onyx necklace, a strand of white Chinese pearls and a Garmin 360 Global Positioning System.   Ball tickets are still available and individual tickets start at $90 per person.  Gold and Silver tables of 10 are available by contacting Mary Anne Doty at (972-470-9184).

The Richardson Symphony League organization supports and promotes the musical, aesthetic and educational activities of the Richardson Symphony.  The Debutante and Honor Guard program is open to young women and men in the ninth through 12th grade and are sponsored and mentored by League members.  During the symphony season, Debutantes and Honor Guards serve as greeters and ushers at all Richardson Symphony performances held at the Eisemann Center.  They also participate in special events including fundraisers, promotional projects, education programs, teas, luncheons, the City of Richardson’s Christmas Parade and Santa’s Village Workshop.
