Eggstravaganza brings smiles to childrens’ faces
Farmers Branch families were invited to come out to the annual Easter Eggstravaganza at the Farmers Branch Historical Park on Saturday, March 15. Children of all ages hopped like bunnies to collect nearly 500 pounds of candy. Additionally, there were concessions, face painting, pony rides, and a petting zoo. “We had close to 2,000 attendees this year,” Amy Cooper, Recreation Programmer, said. “Everyone had a grand time.” Egg hunts were held for age groups one through four, five through seven and eight through 10. Both children and adults enjoyed the many festivities offered at the event, including the opportunity to have a picture button made. With the opportunity to meet and pose for pictures with the Easter Bunny, this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza was surely a memorable experience. Admission was free with canned food donations accepted for the Metrocrest Social Service Center, sponsored by B4 Realty and MIG Mortgage. Thirty cases of food and $115 in donations were received.
