Free City Easter ‘Egg-Stravaganza’ Saturday in McKinney
The City of McKinney Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza on Saturday, March 22. The activities start at 11 a.m. at Al Ruschhaupt Soccer Complex,
1986 Park View Ave., and culminate with an Easter egg hunt for three age groups.
The event is free to children under eight years of age and will feature activities from 11 a.m. to noon, and Easter egg grabs starting at 12:15 p.m. Event attendees will even get a visit from the Easter Bunny. Activities include:
“Families can enjoy a day full of activities like arts and crafts, games, entertainment, and of course an Easter egg hunt for the children,” said Recreation Center Supervisor Laura Cegelski. “This is a great opportunity for everyone to come out and enjoy one of McKinney’s beautiful parks on a spring day.”

- Arts Garden – Children can create a variety of easy-to-make Easter and Spring crafts.
- Critter Grove – Petting zoo and pony rides
- Buggy Trail – Rest stop and activity area for toddlers and parents with baby strollers
- Magical Meadow – Fun zone that includes face painting booth, a circus juggler, magic bubbles and more
- Play Patch – Play area complete with a bounce house, games and races
