Several people have contacted us at Meadowview School wanting to know how they can help during our hour of need. These are people who read the article in last Friday's NeighborsGo but don't have a lot of financial resources. There are other ways to support Meadowview School without spending extra money. Here are just a few:
Kroger Share Card - Come by the school and request a Kroger Share Card. Present the card at checkout and Kroger will donate a percentage of your purchase to Meadowview School.
Tom Thumb Good Neighbor Program - As your local Tom Thumb office how you can attached our school code #2047 to your Reward Card. Then, each time you present your Reward Card at checkout, Tom Thumb will donate a percentage of your purchase to Meadowview School.
Albertson's Community Card - Pick up a Community Card from Meadowview School. Present the card at checkout and Albertson's will donate a percentage of your purchase to Meadowview School.
Office Depot - Give our school code #70099492 to the cashier at checkout and Office Depot will donate a percentage of your purchase to Meadowview School.
Target Credit Card - Apply for a Target Credit Card and indicate Meadowview School as your school choice and they will donate a percentage of your purchase to our school.
Box Tops for Education - Collect Box Tops from packages of certain products and send them to Meadowview School. You can go to the web site at http://www.boxtops4education.com and find a list of products. Each Box Tops is worth 10 cents which really adds up over time. We received a check from Box Tops back in January for $300. That's a lot of Box Tops.
All of your purchases are confidential and you don't have to spend anything extra for Meadowview to get the credit. Remember that the Kroger Share Cards and Albertson's Community Cards are only available at Meadowview School. Although this type of fundraising is hardly enough to meet our goal of $315,000 by May 14th, it will still help with our current expenses. Also remember that getting our enrollment up for the 2008-2009 school year is also critical to help the doors remain open. So tell everyone you know about Meadowview School. Everyone knows someone who has a child with learning differences. It's not as uncommon as you may think.
Thank you so much to everyone who has submitted a donation or just a letter or email of encouragement. Feel free to contact the school at 972-289-1831 or email mvcathyk@tx.twcbc.com for more information.
