Stomping Through Dinosaur Land

1 Rating / 1 Comment

The Early Childhood Development Program of Holy Covenant United Methodist Church recently completed an all school study of dinosaurs. The children rode the Magic School Bus into the land of the dinosaurs. Students strapped on dinosaur feet and stomped around looking for plants or animals to devour, depending on the type of dinosaur they were pretending to be at the moment. They viewed real fossils, and then pretended to be paleontologists digging for fossils in the sand. They did crayon rubbings, compared their heights to the heights of dinosaurs, read dinosaur books, and much more.

The school is for children ages 18 months-Kindergarten. The children are now looking forward to the summer day camp program entitled the Rockin' Rainforest which will be offered the weeks of June 16 and 23. For further information, call 972-492-1371 or visit our website at www.hcumc.org
