Family First Day in Frisco

0 Ratings / 0 Comments

Did the thunder and heavy rain awaken you this morning? What if it had been a severe thunderstorm? Do you know what to do when a tornado warning or watch is issued?

Making sure you and your family are "storm-ready" is the theme of today's WFAA-TV (Ch. 8) Family First Day at Fire Safety Town from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Frisco.

News 8 meteorologists Greg Fields, Steve McCauley and Megan Danahey will be there to walk you through storm simulations and offer safety tips. Morning anchor (and Dallas native and University of North Texas grad) Cynthia Izaguirre will also be on hand.

There will also be a lot of kids' activities and a chance to help restock Frisco Family Services' community pantry. In addition, stop by The Dallas Morning News/neighborsgo building to learn more about neighborsgo.com and spin our lucky wheel to win prizes.
