Girl Scout Troop #2051 earn their Bronze Award
The following is a short story about how my 5th grade
Girl Scout troop earned their Bronze Award. They rule!
Girl Scout Troop #2051A spent the first part of this year planning and organizing their Bronze Award. They needed 15 total hours in the planning and executing of the project. They choose to help the families at the Ronald McDonald house. They took the donated snacks, crafts and activities and made them into individual goodie bags. The Ronald McDonald House uses them for visiting siblings. It keeps young ones busy while mom and dad can focus on the sick one. The girls also decided to cook brunch for them. They went on March 30 at 9am. They made french toast, scrabbled eggs, bacon, toast, fruit trays, muffins, egg casserole, as well as a meat tray, cheese tray, and sandwich fixings. There are 7 girls in this troop and each one was busy making and doing their part. We also had a chance to visit with one family. We all felt very good about being there and doing a little something for someone who does not need to be thinking about what to feed their family after being at the hospital for most of the day.
Sincerely,
Laura Shorlo Leader Troop #2051A
