After Hours Fun at Lakewood Library

1 Rating / 0 Comments

On Wednesday, March 5th, the Lakewood Library Friends hosted an evening fund raiser featuring Dallas Morning News Metro columnist Steve Blow, who spoke on the topic, “Steve Blow’s Bag of Tricks: Tools for Taming Life.”

Before the main event, attendees enjoyed food, wine, and conversation surrounded by shelves of books. Mr. Blow was introduced by retired DMN sportscaster Sam Blair, who shared time with him at the Dallas Morning News.

Funds raised from the event go to the Lakewood Library Friends (LLF). The primary purpose of the LLF is to provide financial support for the services, collections, programming, and facilities at the Lakewood Library. Most recently, the LLF paid for painting the interior of the Lakewood Library.

For information on becoming a member of the LLF, call 214-670-1376, or contact LLF board member Viki Batman at vlmbatman@hotmail.com .
