Citizens across CollinCounty came out on Saturday, April 5 to prepare the My Possibilities center in Plano for painting and flooring. My Possibilities is the first full day, full year program for adults with disabilities in CollinCounty. Plans are to open the center in June, 2008.
Parents, high school and college students, teachers and business people came out to vacuum and wash floors, and spackle the walls in the 11,200 square foot space. Class rooms, the art and work center, café, and offices were prepared. The model apartment which will be used to practice independent living skills was also carefully cleaned.
