ICT Studio named after Rudy Seppy
A theater accident took Rudy Seppy's life. Now the theater company he loved will keep his memory alive.
Last month, ICT MainStage dedicated The Rudy Seppy Rehearsal Studio.
"Rudy was a dear friend," said company manager Jill Stephens, who met the versatile actor in 1985. "Over the next 20 years, he appeared in 24 productions at ICT and directed five."
He also helped the company secure the small studio that now bears his name.
"My life is changing every day because my theater friends try to bring peace to my soul and fix my broken heart," said his widow, Maria Seppy. "I am so grateful."
Company president Tom Ortiz, who presented the idea, said board approval was unanimous.
Another theater group, the Column Awards, honors Mr. Seppy with the annual presentation of the Rudy Seppy Volunteer Service Award. The Column Awards were presented in March at the Courtyard Theater in Plano.
