Pug Dognapped From Garland, Found in Irving
Sassy was found around 7 pm on Wednesday, May 2nd. She is now back home with her family thanks to Robin Beschar.
Robin Beschar found Sassy wandering in the parking lot of the Wingrin Apartments in Irving, TX, where she is manager. That is about 35 miles from where Sassy was taken!
Robin was looking out the window of her apartment at the rain, when she spotted a small drenched dog. She brought Sassy inside, dried her and fed her. Sassy was still wearing her harness and tags, so Robin was able to call her family.
Sassy, a 7 year old black female pug was stolen from a Gold PT Cruiser in the CVS parking lot on the corner of Pleasant Valley and Firewheel Parkway in Garland, TX on Sunday, April 29 at about 5:35 PM.
Sassy was playing on the floor with Robin's two dogs when her owner, Martha Lloyd arrived. "I have been praying that Sassy would get away from the dognapper and someone nice would find her and return her to me." Martha said. "I also prayed that the dognapper would not remove her tags. God answered all my prayers tonight! Praise the Lord!!"
"Sassy and. I want to thank everyone who prayed for us. We also want to thank the www.Neighborsgo.com site for posting her story ."
"Also on May 2nd at noon, on channel 8, the Computer Corner segment featured the Neighborsgo webiste. While they were explaining the website, Sassy's picture and story was on the news for a brief moment."
"I think that all the prayers led to the the combination of events and the coincedence that Sassy's picture and headline were on the news. I think this led the dognapper to let her go."
"Sassy and I want to spread the word about the danger of leaving your dog in the car. I have learned the hard way that it takes less than six minutes for a thief to change your life. It's a lesson I'll never forget."
