Regarding the upcoming Mesquite City Council Election; I know there are several good candidates for Seat 4, however, I must speak in support of Rachel Lopez.

I am involved in several different Organizations in Mesquite and currently serve as Secretary for the Hispanic Forum of Mesquite.   When I first met Rachel, president of Hispanic Forum of Mesquite, I was deeply impressed with her passion for this new organization.   As time passed, in working with her and getting to know her, I have found that her passion is all encompassing.   She is one of those rare individuals who truly care about our community.

In addition to HFM, she gives freely of her time to several Mesquite organizations.   I have often wondered where she finds the time and energy and I realize it must be the deep caring and passion that keep her going.   She is constantly coming up with new ideas to make the Hispanic Forum the best it can be.  She never does anything halfway.  It’s all or nothing.  I have no doubt she’ll be a great asset to the Mesquite City Council.   I am so tired of listening to rhetoric.  What a nice refreshing change to have a “real” candidate who will listen to our needs and truly put our voice in the City Council.

Elect Rachel Lopez for Mesquite City Council, Place 4
