Enchants with their production of "Aladdin, jr."
Carrollton, TX - April 30, 2008 --- High school students from The POPCS Performing Arts Department took audiences to a "whole new world" with their rendition of "Aladdin, Jr.," the stage adaptation of the Disney hit movie. Audiences enjoyed the many talents of the high school's drama and choir students in the roles of - Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and the Genie – with award-winning songs from the movie – "Arabian Nights", "A Whole New World" and "Prince Ali."
Direction for "Aladdin, Jr.," was provided by Lori Hill, Fine Arts chairman in collaboration with musical director and teacher, Jami Calatozzo, POPCS middle and high school choir. Performances by two alternating casts were held at the school's Fine Arts Studio - April 18 and 19. Parents, children and community members came for a night of enchantment, filled with mystery, music and magic carpet rides.
