Edgemere Residents Welcome Warm Weather with Caribbean Cuisine and Reggae Music
Dressed in tropical attire, Edgemere residents turned out to enjoy the warm weather with a Caribbean cookout on April 29. Transformed to resemble a beachside resort, the Edgemere courtyard was filled with vibrant colors and reggae beats. More than 100 residents gathered to sip fresh piña coladas and listen to live Caribbean entertainment by Watusi.
During the event, residents dined on traditional Caribbean dishes such as jerk-seasoned beef tenderloin and tropical seafood cocktail garnished with edible orchids – all prepared by Edgemere executive chef Rodney Timm.
“The Caribbean cookout was a great time for our residents to enjoy the beautiful, warm spring weather and the company of each other,” said Lorraine Kendrick, lifestyles director at Edgemere.
