Iraq is a long way from Carrollton, Texas, but Mrs. Evan's  third grade class at Carrollton Christian Academy received a surprise visitor who had received several packages from them while in Iraq.  Specialist E-4 Jared Miller, husband of CCA alumni Brittni Peacock Miller, made a quick stop on his last day in Texas before heading back to Iraq for another tour of duty.  Specialist Miller first went to Iraq in July of last year.  He received a Christmas Care package, a Valentine package, an Easter package as well as a general care package from the students as one of their Blessed by the Saints projects.  The packages included almost a case of Specialist Miller's favorite snacks, Vienna sausages. There were also chips, cookies, other snacks and goodies, and personal notes filled with prayers and good wishes from the students.

The brief meeting will be remembered by the students, who eagerly hugged Specialist Miller, and who wished him a safe journey while on his next tour of duty.  Specialist Miller took with him memories of a classroom of excited third grade students willing share their love with him and the knowledge that there are daily prayers said for his safe return to Carrollton, Texas and to his wife, Brittni.
