Allen High School junior Amanda Singer chronicles how the Allen High Tallenettes dance team took their routines from the gridiron to the stage during the team's annual Showcase. The Tallenettes danced around the theme "The Classics" and Singer, an aspiring photographer, was there to capture all of the excitement that appears on Pages 13-14 of this week's Student Edition. Also, freelance illustrator Layne Johnson visited Reed Elementary to discuss with students the creative process that goes into his work that includes illustrating children’s books and drawing covers for such magazines as Highlights for Children.
