Moss Haven Elementary celebrated the end of school year with its annual Field Day on May 16th. Students are paired off and get to experience 32 different stations in a carnival-like atmosphere. Favorite stations include the dunking booth, the inflatable obstacle course and the water balloon toss. More than 60 parents volunteered to man the booths. The mood was enhanced by a DJ blaring out the kid’s favorite tunes.
The finale of Field Day is always the 6th grade Obstacle Course. All graduating 6th graders get to run through silly string, trudge through spaghetti laden tires, hula hoop while in a pool of jell-o, slip-n-slide down the hill while their teachers throw water balloons at them, and finally roll through vegetable oil into floured confetti! It is boys versus girls in a race to the finish in a fun, messy tradition.
