Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

Mesquite Police are searching for a hit and run suspect who struck a teenager in North East Mesquite. The following was sent out via the City's Crime Web service.

On June 3, 2008 at approximately 4:00 pm, a juvenile male was walking on the sidewalk in the 2100 block of N. Town East Blvd (see map link below). A gold Dodge Caravan that was traveling westbound on Town East Blvd. veered to the far right side of the roadway and struck the juvenile with it's rear view mirror, causing serious injury to the child. The driver of the Dodge Caravan then continued westbound on Town East and never stopped to provide her insurance information or check on the status of the child.
