CHAPEL HILL UMC VBS STARTED SUNDAY EVENING
Chapelhill UMC held its annual VacationBibleSchool program July 13-17. The theme this year was “Beach Party—surfing the scriptures.” The nightly program ran from 6pm to 8pm with a light supper followed by all kinds of fun and bible study activities for ages Kindergarden-5th grade.
Divided into groups the kids enjoyed four special sessions. They learned new Bible songs, instructed by Church Choir Director, Kathy Guttierrez. One night each student made their own tie-dyed T-Shirt with the help of Kandy Burdette and Patsy Kaphengst. Games were led by David To and Sammy Christlieb. A special Bible story was dramatically presented by Barbara Tatum. The activities varied every night.
Prizes were awarded each night by VBS leader, Kim Connally for learning that evening’s bible verse.
