Chapelhill UMC held its annual VacationBibleSchool program July 13-17. The theme this year was “Beach Party—surfing the scriptures.” The nightly program ran from 6pm to 8pm with a light supper followed by all kinds of fun and bible study activities for ages Kindergarden-5^th grade.

 

Divided into groups the kids enjoyed four special sessions. They learned new Bible songs, instructed by Church Choir Director, Kathy Guttierrez. One night each student made their own tie-dyed T-Shirt with the help of Kandy Burdette and Patsy Kaphengst. Games were led by David To and Sammy Christlieb. A special Bible story was dramatically presented by Barbara Tatum. The activities varied every night.

 

Prizes were awarded each night by VBS leader, Kim Connally for learning that evening’s bible verse.
