NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SandyLakeAmusement Park, Carrollton, TX:   After the Bell Academy kids experience a 300 pound block of ice at SandyLakeAmusement Park.     The summer school program, sponsored by Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD, attends the park each week with about 270 students who swim, play and enjoy the giant landmark swimming pool.     Park owner Frank Rush Jr., thought the kids would enjoy the frozen monster ice cube.  Rush said, “Kids think ice comes in small pieces.  I thought they might get a kick out of learning what the ice companies chop up before delivery.  The kids wanted to know if the ice came from the North Pole.”     SandyLake pool is open daily through Labor Day, September 1.  The parks 19 amusement rides, miniature golf, Shetland pony ride and paddle boats are open to the public and groups until September 21.  Call 972-242-7449 for information and daily schedule.
