Nearly 70 children participated in this summer's MusiCamp at Wilshire Baptist Church. The group learned the music, drama and choreography for a musical in one week.

At week's end, the group presented "Elijah! God's Faithful Prophet" for a full house of parents, family and friends. The musical tells the biblical story of the prophet Elijah and his encounters with King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, Obadiah and the widow of Zarephath.

MusiCamp is directed each year by Sarah Stafford, with help from a team of adult volunteers who make costumes, teach choreography and help with the drama.

Wilshire offers a fully graded children's choir program that is open to the community. Choirs resume Aug. 27. More information at www.wilshirebc.org.
