Boy Scout Troop 57 served as the official color guard for the 63rd Annual Garland Jaycee Labor Day Parade. The troop’s float featured a cantilevered 25’ flag pole built with ropes and poles. The flag pole raised and lowered to clear overhead lines. Also included were the troop cannon, model campsite, and towed canoe.
Troop 57 is chartered by First United Methodist Church of Garland. The troop has 61 youth members and 37 registered adults.
