Cole Glasson quickly makes his mark on the national scene by running in the top 4 drivers all weekend at the Tag World Championships in Grand Junction, Colorado. Cole and his pit crew (Coach and Tuner DJ Ortiz, his father Tim, and his grandfather Wayne) make the 20 hour trip to Colorado. Cole was one of the latest arrivals to the 1 mile track for practice but quickly came up to speed. The drivers were averaging over 50 miles per hour on the 13 turn road course and hitting top speeds in excess of 65 miles per hour. In day 1, Cole qualified 4th in the field, won the 1st heat race by over 5 seconds, and came in 2nd in the IAME Challenge race. In day 2, starting pole in one race and outside pole in the other, he continued to make a great showing. There were four drivers dominating the field and trading leads in all of the races. Throughout the weekend, Cole led over 40 laps in the races and finished both finals in 4th place and earning a podium spot in one of the most competitive races of the year. Cole prepares to race his final two regional races of the year in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas to finish off the 2008 season in late October. To date, Cole has competed in over 220 races placing on podium in 150 of them and winning 60 of his starts.

The 2009 season will begin in Daytona in December where Cole will begin racing the national circuit and will be ranked in three series- Stars of Karting (sponsored by Indy Racing League), World Karting Association (sponsored by Mazda), and the RMAX Challenge (sponsored by Champ Car). He hopes to rank in the top 10 nationally in all three series.
