On Friday, October 10, 2008, the Honorable Tom Leppert, Dr. Robert Lenington, Rex Stephen Lewis and M. Douglas AdKins received the highest degree and distinction that can be conferred by the International Supreme Council of DeMolay.  This distinction recognizes oustanding leadership and service to humanity.  Hon. Leppert, Dr. Lenington and Mr. Lewis were conferred the Active Legion of Honor which recognizes distinct character, leadership and success in his adult life that is in keeping with the precepts of the Order of  DeMolay.  Mr. Adkins received the Honorary Legion of Honor which is conferred on a Free Mason who has performed unusual or meritorious service in his life, to the Order of DeMolay and to his Fraternity. 

The  Investiture was held at the Richardson Masonic Lodge and was performed by an Investiture Team of Legionnaires.  The Richardson Chapter of DeMolay along with the Plano and Richardson Assemblies of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls assisted in the event and are pictured with Mayor Leppert after the Investiture.
