Troop 57 chunked pumpkins using various ballistic devices on their October 24-26 camp out.  The troop staffed the signature event of the Circle 10 Council Parent and Pal Cub Adventure at Camp Wisdom.  A Roman catapult, a trebuchet, and two sling shots chunked pumpkins at targets such as defective tents and a life size picture of the scoutmaster.

Troop 57 also provided the morning and evening flag ceremonies for the 240 Cub Scouts and their parents and presented skits and songs for the campfire Saturday night.  Venturing Crew 57 put on an interpretive program at Camp Wisdom’s medieval castle, including an executioner and kilted Scotsman.

Troop 57 is chartered by First United Methodist Church of Garland.  Meetings are every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at the troop room in the basement of the church.
