The Shoe Bank fills a need.
The Friday Study Club held its November meeting at the home of Barbara Allan with co-hostesses Jinksie Patton and Betty Moon. The program was presented by Mike Barringer, founder of the Shoe Bank, a non-profit organization based in Rockwall and serving people in need world wide. Mr Barringer says the greatest need is for new or gently used athletic shoes of all sizes. The Shoe Bank partners with various groups in Rockwall County including Helping Hands and the Rockwall ISD. More information may be obtained on-line at www.Shoebank.org.
The Friday Study Club members donated all types of tennis shoes to the Shoe Bank to be used wherever Mr. Barringer saw a need.
