Many parents worry this time of year about what to buy their kid(s) for Christmas. How much money to spend. Where to get the best deals. What holiday party to go to. Forgetting the true meaning of the season. How many of us really sit back and count the blessings we have and stop to appreciate the friends and family around us...and the simple things that most people don't give a second thought to... like health.
Today, the Sachse Swingsters and their parents visited Children's Medical Center. Some of the children in various hospitals around the country, including Children's, may be unable to go home from the hospital in time to spend Christmas with their families in their own home. In true spirit of the season, the Swingsters and their families got together to donate multiple carloads of toys, clothes, games, and even a digital camera and photo printer to Children's Medical Center for the children at the hospital to share and enjoy. After the Swingsters delivered the toys, they were escorted to various playrooms within Children's to spend some time making crafts with the children including homemade wreath ornaments, putting together wood crafts, and even a playing few games.
Children's Medical Center is a private not-for-profit hospital and is one of the largest pediatric healthcare providers in the nation. Children's has an excellent reputation of being one of the finest pediatric facilities in the United States.
