Coppell Conservatory Students Play Music for Senior Citizens

1 Rating / 0 Comments

On December 27, 2008, Coppell Conservatory students and teachers gave a Piano and Strings concert to the residents of the 12 Oaks Senior Living in Plano.  The students ranged in age from 7 to 18 years, and performed a one-hour program that included traditional Christmas music as well as major classical compositions by Brahms, Bach, and Haydn.

The event was a great success, and the audience of about 50 residents enjoyed the musical afternoon and responded very warmly to the performers.  At the conclusion of the event, Ms. Arnett Dyke of 12 Oaks invited everyone to cookies and punch, and the students shared a few joyful moments with the residents.

Mrs. April Boukadoum, Director of Coppell Conservatory, said “as part of our civic duty, and wishing to share the wonderful gift of music with our community, we will continue performing regularly throughout the area.  We already have additional commitments for the coming couple of months.  We sincerely look forward to any opportunity to bring joy through music.”

The Coppell Conservatory has provided a wide spectrum of music education since 1998 and is located at 600 East Sandy Lake Road in Coppell.  For information about their programs and their community performances, contact them at 972-304-8600.
