Faith Lutheran Church to Offer Music Classes for Two to Five Year Olds

Beginning February 2, Faith Lutheran Church will be offering spring semester music classes for children through music teacher Karie Sutton of Plano. A program for two and three year olds and a program for three to five year olds will be offered.
"Children love to sing and dance, and music is so important in a child's development," Sutton said. "Music helps a child's memory, language and attention skills, which are all important for school and for life."
This program gives parents and children the opportunity to enjoy singing, dancing, being silly and having fun with music. The music classes utilize a well-known music education program for young children.
Program cost is $50 for 10 sessions. 2009 Spring session dates are February 2, 9 and 23, March 2, 9, 23 and 30 and April 6, 20 and 27. The two and three year old class will be conducted at 9 a.m. each of those days, and the three to five year old class will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Classes last about 30 minutes.
