OakHillDay School has been part of Garland’s early childhood development for the past 15 years. The director of the center, Vee Henderson took the time to tell neighborsgoa little more about the facility and earning a Neighbors Choice Award.

How long has your organization been in the Garland/Wylie/Sachse area?
Oakhill opened in 1994.

Why do you think your organization was named a Neighbors Choice award winner by our readers?

We believe that is it because we offer exceptional care for a reasonable cost.

What is your reaction to being chosen for this award – are you surprised?
We were excited to be given this award, especially to receive it two years in a row!

What do you think this award says about your business and service you provide to the community?
I think it says that we offer our students a great educational opportunity starting at an early age. Our parents appreciate the quality staff, and the comfortable, clean, decorated environment.

Why do you view this award as worthwhile?
Anytime that we receive recognition from the community that we serve, it is a great day for us.

What is the most important thing (or two) for our readers to know about OakHillDay School?
We want our customers and neighbors to know that Oakhill does everything that we can to offer a safe, clean, educational opportunity for each child enrolled. Our facility is located on four acres of land, providing lots of play area and exceptional shade trees. Our playgrounds are cross-fenced for different age groups and activities such as softball, soccer, basketball courts, and playground with forts, swings, slides and climbing equipment, and a full-sized swimming pool.
