Best Auto Repair in Mesquite: Dwight and Don's Auto Care

Everyone dreads the inconvenience of having car trouble, which can tap into your time and money.

 But when the inevitable happens, whom should you call? For Mesquite residents, it’s Dwight & Don’s Auto Care, voted Best Auto Repair in the community. 

“We’re honest, fair and reasonably priced,” said owner Don Scott, who has been in the automotive service business for 34 years. “And we have the ability to fix cars a lot of shops can’t fix because of our technology and tools.”

Scott got his start in auto repair at the age of 16 at a Shell station, along with Dwight, who would become his future business partner. In 1982, the two set out on their own and started Dwight and Don’s Auto Care.

Although Dwight retired in 1999, Scott, a “hands-on owner” who still comes to work every day, continued in the only career field he’s ever known.

So what sets Dwight & Don’s Auto Care a part from the rest?

The shop maintains a stable, core staff of 15 employees, nine of whom have worked at the repair shop for more than 10 years and others more than 20 years.

The automotive service center has 20 service bays and boasts the ability to handle any auto problem “from a squeak to a full blown engine overhaul,” along with having a state-of-the-art service facility and being one of few local shops that offer GM, Audi and Volkswagen computer programming.
