University Park resident Bob Pospick (shown right) recently was awarded the  Sailers Excellence in Leadership Award for his outstanding service  as Troop 70 scoutmaster.  The award is named for the late Lon Sailers, who served as the troop's scoutmaster for 38 years. Pospick's recognition marks only the fifth time in 26 years that the award has been given. Previous winners have included adult leaders Dan Herndon; Jim Phillips, Charles Holmes and Jackie Brewer.  Holmes (at left) presented the award at a ceremony May 4.
