Coppell Community Garden continues success with Keep Texas Beautiful Award
Keep Texas Beautiful announced the Coppell Community Garden as the second place winner of the 2009 Civic Organization Leadership Award. The honor recognizes the efforts of the Coppell Community Garden to better the Coppell community and the environment.
The Keep Texas Beautiful Civic Organization Leadership Award is one of nine categories in the Keep Texas Beautiful Awards and recognizesoutstanding beautification efforts by civic organizations in their local communities. The award was first presented in 1993.
The Coppell Community Garden recently celebrated the 100,000th pound of fresh produce grown at the Helping Hands and Ground Delivery Gardens and donated to the Metrocrest Social Services food pantry.
