The Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association (DAP) raised over $11,000 at the lovely Scholarship Luncheon held May 20th in the Plaza Conservatory at the Mansion on Turtle Creek. The highlight of the gathering was the awarding of scholarships to deserving Dallas area high school women. President Sue Patton, Fundraising Chair Jeanette Pincus, Luncheon Chair Cynthia Bowen, and Scholarship Chair Janie Peterson presented the winners for 2008-2009.
Karington Buchanan - Highland Park High School, attending Baylor University
Tarcila Castillo - Irma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School, attending Southern Methodist University
Sarah Pederson - Woodrow Wilson High School, attending the University of Texas
Kenzie Thompson - Lake Highlands High School, attending the University of Texas
Katherine Ward - Highland Park High School, attending the University of North Texas
Founded in 1931, the Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association is a community based organization affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). The membership is comprised of representative alumnae from twenty NPC sororities. The organization maintains an informative website, holds a forum for high school senior women every February, and raises funds for scholarships awarded each spring.
