Parish Episcopal’s Middle School Student Forum officers attended a highly regarded Leadership Program for five days this summer at Austin College’s internationally recognized Posey Leadership Institute.

 The Texas Association of Student Councils Summer Leadership workshops have more than 50 years experience in helping student leaders develop skills to effectively lead student councils at the campus level.

In addition to learning communication skills and group dynamics, Parish’s four student delegates gained insight into their personal strengths and values. The conference was attended by eighth-grade Co-Presidents Sarah Rostamo and Jake Fletcher, historian Bella Lyon and seventh-grade vice-president Michael Fletcher.

"They are excited about bringing some new ideas and energy to the Middle School Student Forum, Parish Middle School Dean of Students Chris Broderick said. Their slogan you will be seeing around campus is "Crank up the sounds of Leadership!"
