Shelton School's UpperSchool cheerleaders recently scored honors at the National Cheerleading Association summer cheerleading camp held at SMU July 16-19.
Selected for the All-American Team were Kelsi Sewell (senior captain), Simone Shrell (junior co-captain) and Georgia Mulinder (sophomore). Also nominated for All-American were Sarah Davis, Macy Powell and Taylor Scarborough.
The team won a Herkey Spirit Award for the squad showing the most spirit, a bid for nationals, and a superior ribbon for each of their six evaluations. Finally, the squad was awarded a trophy for the most improved squad out of the 22 varsity teams attending.
The entire Shelton squad comprises Meredith Cooke, Caroline Dakil, Sarah Davis, Ashlee Dunayer, Georgia Mulinder, Macy Powell, Jamie Queener, Taylor Scarborough, Kelsi Sewell, Simone Shrell and Sophie Williams.

Mulinder is staff sponsor of the cheerleaders; Myra Gingold is coach. The cheer group looks forward to supporting all the Shelton Charger teams for their 2009-10 season.
