Texas Health Resources donates AEDs to Circle Ten Scouts
As part of its “Gift of the Heart” program, Texas Health Resources donated two automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to Circle Ten Council, BSA for use at the Council’s camps. AEDs are used to “jump start” the heart and often save lives of heart attack victims. Circle Ten scout executive Ponce Duran, second from right in the picture, accepts one of the AEDs from Sean Black, M.D., staff emergency physician at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, who earned his Eagle Scout rank as a youth. Looking on are Jon Gardner (far left), administrative director heart and vascular services at Texas Health Dallas, Russell Etzenhouser (second from left), Circle Ten director of support services, and Steve O’Brien, Texas Health Dallas public relations, who earned his Eagle Scout rank in Circle Ten.
