Baylor Garland Nurse Choses Hospital for Wedding Site

0 Ratings / 0 Comments

With nearly 35 years of employment at BaylorMedicalCenter at Garland, it seemed natural to Mona Brooks to be married at the hospital.  Surrounded by family and friends, Brooks married Terry Juenemann in late September at Baylor Garland.  When Mona retires on December 23 to move out-of-state with her new husband, she will have been part of the Baylor Garland nursing staff for 35 years, spending most of it in the newborn nursery and postpartum units.  “This hospital and everyone I have worked with over the years has been my home and family," said Mona, speaking about Baylor Garland. "Both of my children were also born here. It's just home. Those are the reasons that I chose to marry here.”   The stained-glass panels behind the wedding party are in the hospital’s Hartman Chapel and  were designed and crafted by nationally known artist Dennis Roberts and HIS Studio team.
