Keep Coppell Beautiful To Recycle Electronics on November 14th

0 Ratings / 0 Comments
Keep Coppell Beautiful will be hosting a special recycling event on Saturday, November 14, 2009.  This event will provide Coppell citizens with the opportunity to recycle their old computers, cell phones, televisions and other electronic equipment in an environmentally responsible way.

The e-cycling event will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Coppell Town Center, located at 255 Parkway Boulevard.  Keep Coppell Beautiful encourages residents to dispose of their old electronic equipment through e-cycling, as electronic devices contain components that can be harmful to the environment when they break down in a landfill.

Keep Coppell Beautiful is again partnering with Global Electric Electronic Processing (GEEP) Texas for the collection.  All equipment collected will be processed by GEEP Texas at their local recycling facility.  There will be a cash fee to drop off CRT monitors ($7.00) and televisions ($12.00).  Other electronic equipment is accepted at no charge.

For more information about Keep Coppell Beautiful or e-cycling, call the City of Coppell Parks and Recreation office at (972) 462-5100 or visit the City of Coppell website (www.ci.coppell.tx.us).
