Wylie Fire Rescue Celebrates 100 Years of Service Wylie Fire Rescue celebrated their 100th anniversary, Saturday, October 24, 6:30 pm, at the First Baptist Church of Wylie Events Center. "We will remember the many generations of firefighters who have served this great community with pride and professionalism since 1909, and acknowledge and support the great women and men that continue to serve our community today and in the future," says Wylie Fire Chief Randy Corbin.Wylie Fire Rescue, established in 1909, services approximately sixty square miles of Southeast Collin County, including contracted service to the City of St. Paul. WFR’s extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) includes service to a portion of Dallas County, Rockwall County, and Lake Lavon.WFR currently staffs three full service fire stations with "Quint" fire companies and three MICU ambulances serving the Southeast Collin County E.M.S. Coalition.
