The Collin County Meals on Wheels 2009 Secret Santa program is in progress.

To participate, request a gift list, which can be picked up beginning Oct. 30. Purchase a gift for a minimum of $25. Return the gift by Nov. 20 along with the gift tag.

The Collin County Committee on Aging, which runs the Meals on Wheels program, is also asking for help with its Seniors in Crisis program. The program is asking for gift cards to Wal-Mart, Walgreens or CVS; Ensure; small microwaves; Depends; baby wipes; and table fans.

In addition, the economic crisis has struck Meals on Wheels, and seniors are now being placed on a waiting list for meals. A donation of $27 will buy a senior’s noon meals for one week; a donation of $110 will buy meals for one month.

The Collin County Committee on Aging is located at 600 N. Tennessee St. in McKinney. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
