The 6th grade Balloon Car Races were held Monday, October 12 in the Good
Shepherd gym. During a study of forces and Newton's three laws of motion, the students designed and created a balloon car. The students were to create a car powered by an inflated balloon out of any material. The car was to go at least 5 meters and the wheels were to be made from an item that was not originally intended for use as wheels. A race was held to determine the fastest car and the car to go the farthest.  Awards were also given for the best looking car and most
creative car.
