The shipmate program at Vaughan is one of the ways we celebrate good citizenship and character displayed in the school setting. A student from every K-5th grade class is chosen to represent his/her class as a "Shipmate". Kindergarten students are Savannah Fleck, Eric Wang, and Hiwot Yihunie. First grade students are Gabriella Decamargo, Makayla Lunday, Vanessa Van Ark, and Devin Veasley. Second grade students are Mary Fuller, Amilia Galdiano, Victor Garcia, Jonathan Kay, and Griffin Keates. Third grade students are Richard Anderson, Nathan Bell, Jordan Lewis, and Amy Taylor. Fourth grade students are Jack Grimes, Lauren Hannan, Emma Tanksley, and Abby Voelk. Fifth grade students are Kameryn Carper, Kevin Castanho, June Moffitt, Trey Norman, and Jeremy Reynolds.
Sixth graders at Vaughan Elementary are recognized for their good citizenship and character each week. A student from every sixth grade homeroom class is chosen to represent his/her class as a "Captain". Class Captains for this week are Andy Herald, Breanna Horton, Brendan Thompson, Evan Masingill, and Audrey Holt.
